Lovelythings by Kazzalblue @ Taradale Craft Market

Wow. Am I duh or what! Here I am with a perfectly good blog and I haven't even thought - until now that is - of telling you that 'Lovelythings by Kazzalblue' is taking part in a Craft Market next weekend. It will be held at the Greenmeadows Hall on Tait Drive, Taradale, NZ. Now that is a little hard to find but google maps will help.

This is a chance for crafters from Felt and Etsy to come together and sell their things while socialising at the same time.

I will be there from 9-2ish with a lot of the items we sell on Etsy and Felt with me, including crayon rolls, toddler slippers / boots, bags and finger puppets. Unfortunately Karen can't just fly over from Oz to help out so I will be flying solo at this one. Maybe one day when we make enough money we will be able to fly back and forth to do markets together. That is definitely a goal for us!

Anyway I hope to see you there. Please mention the blog if you have seen us on here. It is great to get feedback from people like that and makes it all worthwhile.

Busy Busy!

Today I had a busy day - first at work and then helping in a little craft shop I volunteer at.

I have also been very busy setting up a new online shop. I made my first sale on it just yesterday and would you believe they were the same slippers I pictured a few days ago. I have just been listing a few more girly things. I seem to have bouts of boys colurs and then girls colours. Now I am into pinks and purples. Here is a pic of the pair I have just listed! Pretty aren't they!

DAY IN

My day wasnt out, but in with Mr Sam teething today. Poor little thing. He is finally getting his eye teeth and they are causing him some trouble.

I did get the chance to sew though and look what I made.

Awesome Day Out!

Don't you just love a day out. I went on a day trip with my daughter- that means shopping! We had a great day and then to top things of when I got home I had made 2 sales. My first sale on FELT and one on Artfire. Awesome day! Here is a pic of the slippers I sold on Felt.

Etsy Frontpage

Here is a pic of the Etsy frontpage we were featured on. Great autumn colours. Thanks for picking our cute woollen slippers to feature. It is now our wish to do it again.

DUST Christmas In July is Coming

Do these words conjure up an Australian Christmas for you??

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
(Torme & Wells, 1946)

No, not usually. Unless, of course, they refer to the Etsy Down Under Street Team (DUST) "Aussie Christmas in July" promotional weekend.

Etsy DUST members from all around Australia are coming together for one whole weekend, 12.01AM Saturday 25th July through to 11.59PM Sunday 26th July (AEST), to showcase their talents & stunningly handmade creations.

All stores participating will be offering a promotion to their customers - free worldwide shipping or % off sales; a selection of items at reduced prices or reverse auctions.

With so much variety, including jewellery, children's clothing & accessories, art, supplies, vintage items, stationery & bags, you are sure to find something to suit each & every taste.

The DUST team will also be running giveaways for the entirety of the weekend, giving you the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes from Australian sellers. Poke your nose into the Etsy Forums during the promotion for your chance to win.

I encourage you to visit the participating stores, as well as our team website - http://www.dustteam.com/ - and support the handmade revolution sweeping Australia.

Stay tuned for more details as the weekend draws nearer...

My Finger Puppets

Here is a slideshow of the finger puppets I make. I love these little guys....they are so cute. Amazingly enough every time I think I have run out of ideas someone gives me another one. This is the collection so far. I sell them on my shop at www.kazzalblue.etsy.com

My First blog

Hi all,
This is my trial run at putting a blog together. Not the easiest thing in the world is it. Any way I have just managed to upload a template which was quite an achievement and I am quite pleased with myself at the moment.

The uploading an image is proving a little trickier as all my pics are too big. I'll keep working on that one. So what do you think so far? Let me know
Cheersaa
