New Shelves

I am waiting in anticipation for a very important phone call that will announce the completion of my new shelves for my sewing room. Actually it was meant to be a surprise! My hasband ordered them last week for my birthday but then told me about them yesterday. I am soooo excited because I will finally be able to get everything off the floor - the current storage solution - and onto neat tidy display shelves.

Fancy looking forward to a whole day of tidying up - but I am!

Pics coming as soon as they are installed. I might even take a before shot to show you exactly what it looked liked! That will really horrify you!

New Look For Our Blog

I just love the new look our blog has. I was a bit restless and decided to pay around on the computer. I was trying to make the blog clearer and more readable for everyone. I hope I have acheived this. Would like to hear what you think about the new look.

Post Time! Yippee!

Yeah! I finally got the parcel I have been working on finished, packed up and posted! Its a good feeling! I am really bad about making a whole lot of stuff for one place and then using it all up somewhere else before I get it posted away. This box took me about 2 months because I had to keep replacing items in it. Anyway it has gone and I am onto the next now, which I will endeavour to get away a lot quicker!

I never thought about taking a pic of all my creations - too focussed on shutting the lid I think!

I thought I would go shopping this weekend in an effort to tame the mess that I call a sewing room. Some nice big plastic boxes ought to do the trick. If I succeed I will be able to show you all a pic of the room. Not that its a mark on any of the other studios and craft rooms I see on blogs. I'll give it a go tho!

Sorry No Time to Blog

Haven't got a second spare at the mo. I have been really busy at work and even busier making up orders to post away. Promise to get it sorted soon and it will be the holidays in a week and a half so that will definitely help matters!

Leaving Comments - Are you having trouble?

Some people seem to be having a bit of trouble leaving comments on our blog. Either that or no one likes us but I would like to believe it is just a technical issue!

If you are one of those people I have tried it myself and found that the comment box would not scroll down for me. However it will go done if you use the arrows on the key board. Then you can get to the post it button and continue your posting.

I have also put in a comment box on the side of the blog so you could let me know there how you are getting on. Please let me know because otherwise I will not know you were trying to get in touch.

Alternatively - click on "Follow me on Twitter" and let me know there or "Become a Fan on Facebook" and let me know there.

How Are You Dealing With the Christmas Rush This Year?

Just thought it would be interesting to hear from other handcrafters about how you are approaching Christmas this year. Do you have an organised approach or is the panic settling in already...... it is only16 weeks away!

Fathers Day

Well its Fathers Day for us here in NZ. Our daughter, on her way to work early this morning, came into give her Dad, who was still snoring soundly, a gift, before she left for work. It was quite funny watching him trying to unwrap the present and open the envelope, with copious amounts of cellotape in place, while still half sleeping - but a nice thought.




Today means he will do whatever he wants to and we will have a nice dinner later on with my Dad as well. Meanwhile I however have a huge list of got to get it done today items to keep me busy! If I can achieve that list I will be sooooo happy!

I found this feature called linkwithin which you may have noticed already on the site. However I also found out that if you don't have a picture in a blogpost and it picks that one to display then it just gives you a grey box or worse - just hyperlinked words - therefore including pics from now on with everything is one of my missions. Also managed to play around yesterday and link a facebook - Become a Fan box to this site - so if you want to become a fan we would love to have you! I am still building up the Kazzalblue facebook page so take a look from time to time and spot the changes.

Thats about it for now - except .... is anyone else getting worried that Christmas is approaching fast and furiously and time is running out for making stock? Got to be focussed!! Double focussed!!
