Pin Cushion Swap

Pin Cushion

***********

Here is what I made for the latest swap I was in. I had to make a pin cushion in any shape for my swap partner. I saw this little pin cushion in a magazine and thought it looked cute. I also thought it might be fairly easy to make. WRONG!!!

I actually made it twice. The first time it just didnt work. It looked nice but I couldn't get the lid shut so the second time around after a few amendments to what I thought the original pattern was and a few looks on google to check out any tutorials and here you have the final product.

I used one of my new Art Gallery Fabrics, called Hot pink Flashy Wheels, for the pin cushion and also put in a few goodies in the jar just for fun. Some buttons, ribbon and pins. I hope it gets to where it has to go on time now as I didnt have time to make it before I left Australia on holiday and so I had to post it all the way back there from NZ.

What do you think of my efforts.
Karen.
