A Day in the Sun - Hohepa Homes Market

There were loads of lovely things to see at the Hohepa market today. I've been feeling a bit bound by the daily grind of life lately and somehow managed to convince my husband to take a drive out to the Hohepa Homes Market Day. Gathering another couple of friends on the way for moral support for HIM it turned out to be the best thing we could have done.

The weather was beautiful and warm with no hint of the flash storm from the night before and the morning was relaxed. HE didn't even get uptight when we discovered they had closed off part of the main highway to cope with the traffic! Although he did get put in his place by one very zealous parking attendant when he tried to park in the wrong place.

Hohepa Homes is set in an idilic setting. Lots of trees and grass with a big pond and great surroundings. There was horse riding for the little ones and a tonne of interesting stalls and things for sale, both new and old. The candles that the poeple who work there make were amazing.

I came home with a few wee finds and we all enjoyed a really hearty steak sandwich for lunch while listening to some oldtime musical entertainment. Not even a complaint from HIM!

I saw a couple of friends out there as well. Mel from Wildflowerdesignsnz was kept busy with her amazing jewellery. There just seemed to be happy people everywhere.

I really enjoyed our outing! Coffee on the way home was great too!

Lovely to see you there. It was a fantastic day with amazing sales and nice customers with everyone in a relaxed happy mood - the atmosphere of the market I'm sure! Really think you should have a stall next year - you'd make a killing :) Mel

Looked like it was worth it too, judging by all the people crowding your stall. I'm glad you had a great day! And yes I will have to plan for next year now.
